The Waller County Tax Office is here to serve the taxpayers of Waller County. We know that paying taxes, vehicle registration and registering to vote can be a hassle. We are here to help you handle your business in the most efficient and friendly way we can.
In 2010 the federal government completed the census. As result the state is required to redistrict voting boundaries which means your voting location may have changed. Please be sure to keep your voter registration up to date to ensure that you can exercise your right to vote in Waller County.

We handle your vehicle registration if you are a citizen of Waller County.
Tax Certificate Requests
A general tax certificate is available with a $10.00 fee per account. A detailed tax certificate is available for $35.00 per account.
When requesting a tax certificate, please be prepared to state the years you are requesting per account. If you request a detailed certificate, three years is the limit within the last twenty years.
Please note, all fees must be paid before you can pick up your certificate. You can mail a check to our Hempstead office along with the completed tax certificate request form. You may also pay by credit card. Download certificate request form.
Alcoholic Beverage Permits
Applications are obtained from and processed by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. You can either send a written request or print an application from their website. More information on alcoholic beverage permits here.
