How to register to vote

Here are ways that you can request a voter registration application:

1. Call our office at (979) 826-7620 to request an application by mail.
2. Stop by our office in Hempstead or Brookshire to register to vote in person.
3. Request a voter registration form from the state and mail to Waller County Tax Office at the address listed above.

Waller County Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar (VDVR)

To become a VDVR, you must appear in person at our main location in Hempstead at the address listed above between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. You can schedule a group deputation for any organization.

 

The criteria for scheduling a group deputation are:

1. A written request received at least two (2) weeks in advance, with the following:
2. Proposed date and time for the group deputation.
3. Name of the organization whose members are to be deputized. 3) Address of the proposed group deputation (must be located within Waller County, Texas).
4. The number of prospective Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrars must be at least eight (8).
